First off, I want to say y'alls music is hot!!! I was turned on to y'all by Marc Doe. I finally got a chance to check the site. I must say, I think your image doesn't quite fit what I invisioned when Marc let me hear the cd. Your music is real lively but when I saw ur pics alot of them look kinda dark and gothic. I personally think you need more colorfull and animated pics. Y'all look either sad or got the ice grill in most of the pics..it wouldn't hurt to smile a little more. I saw I think one or two pic's where y'all where smilling..in my opinion, I think it shows y'all have personality. Anyway, keep making that hot music!!! You girls r both attractive..I think ya'll need to show it a little bit more...Back in the days MC Lyte, Lateefa, and even the Brat latter on didn't dress scandalous in order to be felt...but they did show they had a feminine side to them as well...I don't see a feminine side to your image...Musicly I think KIN is better than every female rapper out now..but in a male dominated business where men are running the show you'll have a very difficult time convincing them to take a chance on yall with such a hard look. I don't think you should totally change your image..but maybe brighten it up a bit..don't look so mad..I'm personally tired of all the half nekkid female rappers w/no skills...but u still may want to compromise just a touch to open yourselves up to a broader audience..yet at the same time not alienate any fans u may have already gained.

Wow it's crazy ya'll asked this because when I was passing out your flyers in school and on the blocks of South Jamaica Queens I got a lot of feed back. In those who are into truely into making music and being felt didn't care what you looked like. One girl said you two look too much like guys, I almost got offended and then I realized I was tryna get her to come to control the mic, so I said what's the problem. She said what ever there lifestyle is doesn't bother her, but why do they have to look so hard (no smile). Me personally I think your image is wassup, especially in person there is actually nothing wrong with your appearance, but your pictures are a little unfriendly, beautiful as they may illustrate, they aren't welcoming to a broad audience. I will have to agree with Marc, Da Brat, Mc Lyte, and my most favorite QUEEN LATIFAH (Oh so sexy) they didn't dress scandals but they smiled a little more and colors are very inviting. My favorite picture of you two is the one with the white and yellow jersey's on, IQ on the left hands folded in front, nor on the right head leaned to the side and left hand in her pocket. The two of you aren't cheese grilling but most the smirk on your face is inviting, enticing and defenitly sparks a curiosity. IQ you are BEAUTIFUL, white is definatly a complementing color for you lined with any other color such as red, blue or yellow. You know what I want you guys to keep posting cause I'm digging the feedback. Don't mistake my smart ass comebacks as not listening. Every artists has to grow and we still have a lot of growing to do. Anyone that knows me personally knows I have a silly side and a very focused business side. Maybe I'll start showing the silly side. But just remember KIN is doing this by themselves. Photo shoots and styling and all that we have to fund that or get big ass favors from photographers like Jiri Turek...www.jiriturek.com. Most people come at us with elaborate suggestions but when it comes time do follow thru we are there all by our lonesome. So keep that in mind. Nobody wants to help you when you not rich yet. Respect those who make an attempt to help themselves.

I've been a member here for a long min and I've never posted, (I hate posting) but this subject got to me. I talk with Nor occassionally and I know that yall are really out grinding this thing out yourselves. In this business sex outsales talent in all but a few cases. you can be wack as f**k as long as u fine (ashanti) you'll make mad money. You also have to consider your own happiness. What makes you comfortable. In other words don't sell out yourself tryna make somebody else accept you. I mean brighter colors, smiles and all of those simple things are a nice touch though. Right now a large majority of the fanbase from just looking at the members in here are male and alot of lesbian. (not puttin my fam on blast though Id say if yall are looking to broaden that fanbase you may have to be more "pop friendly" My only problem with that is you kinda lose the grimeyness and realist of your music. It doesn't seem as real when you try to conform to please everybody. Yall talked about Brat and MC Lyte, when both of them came out they were hard looking, and they sold plenty of records. Brat was the first solo to go platinum, and soon as she got all feminine and sh*t, she lost that fire people didn't know weather to believe her. People like you when you real. It's always gonna be damn if you damn if you don't situation. My only suggestion would be to loosen up a lil bit, smile and stay true to you. And pull ya damn pants up...lol j/k

When the brat became all prettified (if that's a word ) she lost her touch, because at that point, it was interpreted that she wasn't being true to who she was; so how could her fans believe she was being true to us. Also, yeah not to put the fan based on blast it basically looks like you just gotta get more Str8 girls in the fan circle. And its only not just about your image because right now it about putting you out there, letting people know you exist. I won't put Nor's name on this message board (because I don't even know if I know it), but ever since I have had your flyer on my BP page, I get a lot of, "I Know the light-skin one is her name so and so", I just answer, "Come to control the Mic and maybe you will find out". My point is people who knew y'all didn't know you had talent or didn't think you were serious, and they are happy to see you doing something positive. So all you people on the message board, POST UP THOSE FLYER'S on your web sites and BP pages, outside etc. Image is a big issue, but being known is definitely the key. Hearing "Yo who dis" on the flyer is cute, but I wanna start hearing "OH SH*T they gonna be there" and I know it takes time, money and patience, but fans gotta start promoting KIN not just on this site, cause they got that down pack already. Starting talking about them like y'all talk about the lastest Nas or Jay-z single. I know I got my friends sick of "lay it down" cause I play it every time I am on the phone with someone, so now they have no choice but to acknowledge KIN, and sing it lol. When they walk in my basement I am playing the web site, and people are like "who's that". There I go again talking up a storm, lol. My point is, it's not just about image, it's about playing the music when you have company, posting the flyer's in the five boro's, and sending the single/CD to friends during birthday's and holidays.
