Hi y'all. I'm new on this board, so I start introducing myself a little bit.

My name is Jean Pierre Kin and I live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I'm a white-ass, 35-year-old hiphophead and I'm doing my thing as a photographer and graphix designer in the Dutch underground hiphopscene.

To my surprise I found this website by googling a bit on my own name. And I'm impressed! KIN is so flyy! I already new that Kin was fly, 'cause I myself am fly...

Aight. I do reviews, interviews and photo's for the Dutch underground hiphop-webmagazine www.hiphopinjesmoel.com and if your Dutch isn't all that, you can also check the section where we've put all our English-written stuff at www.hiphopinyourface.com checkcheckcheck.

Besides that I think up promo-ideas and design them. Like flyers, posters, cd-sleeves. In professional life I am a freelance art director for advertising-agencies. Coming up with ideas and get them across in a visual way.

Would be cool if you came over to Amsterdam. The point is that not many peeps here in The Netherlands have heard of KIN, so it would be difficult to get you over for an exclusive. So combining it with other European cities would be good. Mayby you can do a show in Germany at Splash Hiphopfestival or Hiphop Kemp in Checheslovakia. If you have plans to come over, let me know, because I could help you do your promo over here. KIN is kin.

damn, you've been all over. btw, i'm from nyc. i had no idea hip-hop was so big in the netherlands....but anyway, its cool that you're going to help expose these ladies to an untapped market. your site is the shyt....keep doing what you do.

I have an idea for Kin about approaching the Dutch market: if you ladies would just register at our boards/forum and introduce yourselves in the topic 'Just Spit' and do a little promo yourself as well.

A little background info on the status of hiphop in The Netherlands:

We are now under the influence of the so called 'urban-vibe'. Meaning that mainstream hiphop/rnb is the main thing. This naturally reflects on underground hiphop as well. More kids checkin' out what real dope hiphopshizz is going on besides Snoop, Missy and Busta. Artists like Non Phixion, Immortal Technique, Cunninlynguists and Little Brother are appreciated over here. The mass-media spend more and more airtime at hiphop related items. On the internet hiphop heads discuss about what is real and what's fake.

Meanwhile the amount of dope Dutch MC's is growing. Some choose to rap in Dutch, others do it in English. The quality is getting better and better. I've visited about 200 hiphopshows the last 3 years and I'm impressed about the hardworking attitude of the peeps who keep the spirit going. With rap on the top of the hitcharts and a lively underground scene I'd say that hiphop is happenin' in this area.

At www.hiphopinjesmoel.com we are on the look-out for the new thing. The unexpected thing. We believe in kinda pureness in hiphop. In Holland the word 'Urban' is very commercialized and because of that hated by a lot of so called 'real' heads. Rnb is something we don't do. The genre Rnb over here is very much associated with slick singing dudes like R. Kelly and Usher.
Underground heads over hear are most of the time on the low budget tip. The don't need fancy drinks and bling around their necks. They drink a cheap beer, they smoke a J and bounce at a hiphopshow or throw a graff-piece on a train. New York style, I guess.

And so on, and so on...

Anyway, tell me a bit more about what is going with KIN and NYC so we can get this party started.
