I got 4 questions for KIN
How did the both of you meet?
How long did it take for yall to establish NORIQ records?
How did yall feel when yall first heard someone outside of ya friends and family play ya CD?

We met in elementary school
We established Noriq Records about 2 years after we started to go hard as the group KIN. We were focused!
I felt crazy to have anyone you don't know rocking your music. Its a blessing and I love it everytime it happens!
My most personal songs would have to be Daddy Pt1 and 2, Blues Pt 2, I mean all my songs I do my a real place in my life so they all pretty personal.

well i feel like society has made it hard for people of color to be comfortable in their own skin. not just the lgbt community but being of color period. so its not something that is easy to do. u have to be strong and willing to go the fire to represent a mass of people who arent being represented correctly. me and q is on the cross right now and we will remain until we aint making these hits no more...but i encourage everyone to accept themselves first therefore they can accept others. only GOD can judge you!

I feel you on that ma...and everytime we do get comfy in our own skin and want to branch out creatively...they start piling on the stereotypical movie roles and music styles...pigeon holeing us even further...even in terms of activism...im starting to think that part of the reason my forum isnt picking up well is because im a woman of color...wanting to raise questions about disability and sexuality...it doesnt get any more minority than that...but im tryna stay strong  |

well ur forum will pick up its a matter of getting the right people in there to hear what u have to say. u need a press release and then u can submit ur mission and story to local papers and news channels. get the media involved.
